Starfire got me to read DC comics. Starfire got me to dabble in Marvel. Starfire is a personal hero who showed me how to persevere through grueling hardships and still be bubbly, optimistic and kind. Starefire IS THAT BITCH. So for them to USE Starfire as a stand in for some basic mother with an ungrateful well off teenager is, blasphemy.It might’ve been because she was in more episodes, but Terra was a better written, more compelling character. I do like both characters, but Terra is my favorite out of everyone on the entire show. Terra > Blackfire, but Blackfire is second-best girl outside the OG 5. Terra was extremely well-written, but a horrible Titan and friend.The new version of Starfire should just be a different character entirely. She has no, literally not one single thing in common with the "actual" Starfire. (Appearance aside, because I don't want anyone crying) A bad attitude, flamethrower hands/count dukku energy, and a whole lot of social justice, does not a Starfire make.
