Speaking for SmartCarb, we don't have as thorough an understanding of the CRF230 as would meet our high standards before releasing a baseline tune and/or a specifically marketed kit for it. Furthermore we don't offer a similar SC2 size just yet, having a gap between 28mm and 36mm.

Posted October 3, 2017. I recently purchased a new 4T lectron Carb for my spare DRZ400SM. First off it took weeks to get as they were waiting or their new, must have billet throttle tubes. That was 50 years ago. ... I'm 100% happy with the smart carb, no lean or rich spots, it just works. I also keep winning races vs my buddies 250xc. I mean, how much more power/speed does one need if their bike is running 100%? ...Off idle running quality dramatically diminished when set up for maximum midrange power (about 4+ clicks richer). No way to tune for maximum power AND maximum throttle response quality. Only two points of tuning (metering rod and idle). A 'dumb' Carb has at least 5 points of fine tuning compared to the smart carb (s)

In a metering rod carb (Lectron and Smart Carb) the adjustment only affects the bottom end and early mid-range. Lectrons are a heck of a carb in certain respects and a total piece of shit in other respects. They make HP. They have excellent throttle response. What they don't do is idle stable below about 2500RPM. They also can be a bitch at the line after the burn out because they want to idle even higher. Don't waste your money and run the Lectron you have.
