Tweet. #1. Millermatic 175 trouble need help. 12-02-2008, 08:15 PM. I have a millermatic 175 and i am having problems with it. When i weld the wire stops coming out of the gun. I have replaced the tip and i replaced the liner inside the gun. It seems to work just fine when i am not welding but as soon as i run a bead the wire stops.On both the 1/8" and 1/4" the 175 w/ spoolmate was able to make great looking, good penetration welds with almost no spatter, tig looking at times. I have an AutoArc Pro 230 which is a rebadged Miller 210, with a 3035 spoolgun. I can get decent spoolgun welds, up to 1/2" thick (with preheat). The spoolgun is a different animal than regular Mig.
