May 9, 2023 · I have a 4.5 tilt head mixer that's about 23 years old, I finally changed the oil because it was black & leaking out onto the shaft and I couldn't get the planetary& shaft back onto the top of the mixer. I bought a new shaft, placed it in the planetary and had to brute force the planetary onto the mixer.KitchenAid appliance repair.
