I'm currently looking at a Honda CR-V 2006 - however, the engine is making a wierd rythmic ratteling when in idle. The driver seat is virbating as well, and I can see the exhaust slightly shaking. Apr 21, 2024 · Besides the timing chain and pulleys, I’d suggest checking the heat shields around the exhaust system. They can get loose or corroded over time, causing rattling sounds, especially when the engine is idling or accelerating. Also, I’d check the engine mounts.
