Fourtreks are mounted slightly tipped upward (jack follows "tipped" end view of roof rack). I did this so when I remove the jack locks it doesn't slide out and konk me. I purchased some 1/2" black nylon washers to act as cushions for both sides of the jack bar on the Fourtreks stud.
