I built the suez canal in my latest game as spain, it's a huge sink of gold and power. Was disapointed to watch random nations who I had no treaty with use my shiny new shortcut as if they we're an ally.I was playing with Ottomans, and built the Suez Canal on Eyalet-i Misir. Then annexed the eyalet, and the canal was gone. It shows on the province, can not rebuild it, but the canal graphic and mechanic was completely gone. Ships can not pass to the Red Sea.
